Bonaire

The island of Bonaire located nearly 50 kilometers east of Curaçao and 80 km north of Venezuela. Bonaire is about 38 km long and between 5 and 11 km wide. The island has about 11,000 inhabitants and has no traffic lights! The average temperature is 80 F and the average water temperature is 79 F. The sun shines almost 365 days a year, 12 hours a day! Most of the rain falls during the months of October through December, fortunately only short showers. Bonaire has beautiful nature and large areas are legally protected nature reserves.
